After moving virtual in 2021, the Neuf Memorial Run returns to an in-person event on the Bethel College campus, Jan. 8, 2022.

The 9K and 2-mile walk/run honors the memory of Russ Neufeld, a long-time Kansas resident who died Jan. 21, 2017, after an 18-month fight with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

The event raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Russ Neufeld Memorial Scholarship at Hesston College. Over the first four years of the Neuf Memorial Run, the race has raised more than $50,000 from race proceeds and donations.

Mojo’s Coffee Bar, which has become a Bethel College institution over the past 11 years, is getting a new owner: Reverie Coffee Roasters of Wichita, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

Patty Meier announced her decision to sell the business to Reverie Dec. 2. She opened Mojo’s in the former Bubbert’s Snack Shop in 2010.

Reverie has operated in Wichita since 2013 and, according to Meier, was her first choice and “a perfect fit” for taking over the business.
