There are five student recitals between Nov. 11 and Nov. 19 -- the next up is Hayden Honomichl's senior voice recital on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m.

Honomichl, Great Bend, Kan., will give his recital in the Ad Building chapel, accompanied by Dr. Christina Liu.

The recital features the music of Scarlatti, Purcell, Menken and others.T

Emil Benavides, Stockton, Kan., and Dylan Yoder, Hutchinson, Kan., will give a joint junior recital Sunday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. in the Ad Building chapel, accompanied by Dr. Christina Liu.

The Bethel College Wind Ensemble under the direction of Joel Boettger kicks off the first of several concerts closing out the 2022-23 school year, with a performance Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m. in Krehbiel Auditorium.

The concert is free and open to the public, with a freewill offering taken to support music study and performance at Bethel.

Julianna Schrag, soprano, will give her senior voice recital Sunday, April 16, at 4 p.m. in the Ad Building chapel, featuring works by Handel, Rorem, Gounod, Obradors, Strauss and Webber.

Schrag is a communication arts major with minors in English and management and will graduate in May. She is a voice student of Soyoun Chun, D.M.A.

Bryce Wilson's senior saxophone recital is tonight (March 31) at 7 p.m. in the Ad Building chapel, or click on the story title above to find the livestream link.

Wilson, a music and education major at Bethel, will graduate in May. He is a student of Joel Boettger, M.M.

Bethel's music and theater departments present “tick, tick... BOOM!” by Jonathan Larson, Friday-Sunday, March 24-26, in Krehbiel Auditorium in Luyken Fine Arts Center.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday's is at 2 p.m. Friday evening's performance will be interpreted for the d/Deaf community.

Bethel’s small orchestra will play the first music department concert of the spring semester, Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. in Krehbiel Auditorium in Luyken Fine Arts Center.

It is free and open to the public, with a freewill offering taken to support the study and performance of music at Bethel.

Kristopher Hilding directs the chamber orchestra.
